Montgomery Moved That Bus

It is hard to put into words the emotions felt today when the Extreme bus rolled away and the Jordan Family saw their new home for the first time: Joy. Thankfulness. Relief. Awe. We are Extremely grateful to the many in our community that answered Aronov Homes' call and volunteered their time, talents, goods, services and more. We could not have accomplished the monumental task of building a home in one week without every one of you. Aronov Homes is so happy to have the Jordan's back in Montgomery; we wish you well and hope you build many happy memories at the NEW 5336 Ira Lane.

We Handed Over the Keys . . .

Today at 2:30 p.m., Jake & Owen Aronov handed new Jordan Family door keys to Tracy Hutson of the EMHE Design Team. What a moment it was - Monica and Brady Jordan's extended family were on site to share it with the whole team! The house looks beautiful and we are so excited for the Jordan's to see it on Monday. It was fun to be a part of the filming of the show with two groups of volunteers helping Tracy, Paul and Eduardo move furniture into the home. Now, it's up to the Design Team to take care of the decorating and finishing touches.

The Construction Continues

Beautiful blue-gray siding was affixed to the exterior of the Jordan Home today while work was furiously continuing on the interior. Painters were visible in every room with several volunteers helping with the process of cleaning the concrete slab so the flooring could be installed. Sod for the yard was delivered today and will be laid overnight and into the morning hours along with the rest of the landscaping. We had many spectators today and are hoping for even more on Sunday. We also really want to give the Jordan's a warm Montgomery welcome home on Monday. We encourage everyone to plan on coming out Monday to Move That Bus!!

Raising the Roof

What a difference a day makes with this build!! The decking is on the roof, the stone is up on the chimney and the front doors have been hung. There has been as much activity going on inside as outside the Jordan home. The house was acclimatized (taking the moisture out of the air) today; what is normally a three-week process was done in about two hours. The sheet rock has been hung and finished and the bathrooms are being prepped for the tile. The house is certainly looking like a home. The countdown is on until we hand the keys to the design team on Sunday!

The Slab Goes Down and the Walls Go Up

After a stormy Wednesday night (we evacuated the site twice due to bad weather), the concrete trucks came rolling in, the slab was laid and framing began. The Jordan house really began to take shape today! It was amazing to see the changes from one hour to the next. We had country music star Jimmy Wayne on site to help us frame - he and the folks from his label were fantastic. They helped raise a ton of money for the Jordan Family at a special show Wednesday night at the Montgomery Brewing Company. Thanks to Chris and everyone there for making it such a great night! Today was also a super day as it was the first day spectators came on site. It was great to see those smiling faces and hear them shouting to the design team when they walked by. The momentum is really high now and we will roll right on into the weekend! Can't wait to see the Jordan Family on Monday!!

The Braveheart March & Demolition

Today, the Aronov Homes Team, led by Jake Aronov and Loree & Owen Aronov, marched down Ira Lane toward the Jordan home. The group came together in the front yard with Ty Pennington to get their "marching orders" from Jake and hear Ty tell the family (via his camcorder) what was about to take place. The Montgomery Catholic High School pep band, cheerleaders and basketball team were on hand to rouse the crowd and they did a great job! When Ty gave the signal, two very large pieces of equipment got to work demolishing the house. Now, we're on to concrete tonight and framing on Thursday. Everyone is excited about the spectators being on-site for the first time tomorrow!
